Novice programmers often struggle with loop logic, such as while loops, leading to confusion, errors, and low confidence. To address this, we designed The Sequencer, a gamified interactive tool on LearningApps.org that guides students in reordering randomized code snippets to reinforce logical sequencing visually and playfully. It is specific to loop structures, measurable through classroom trials—several of five cohorts achieved 100% pass rates—achievable via smartphone access in low-tech environments, relevant to foundational programming education, and time-bound by structured teaching sessions. Students reported increased engagement and confidence, while instructors noted reduced teaching time and better algorithm visualization.
