This project explores the innovative integration of GPS tracking technology into debit and identification (ID) cards to enhance security, traceability and real-time location monitoring. The primary objective is to address the growing concerns surrounding identity theft, card loss and unauthorized use. By embedding a small GPS module within the card structure, the system enables users and authorized institutions to track misplaced or stolen cards, thereby reducing financial fraud and identity misuse. The project also investigates the technical feasibility, power efficiency and privacy implications of such integration. Practical applications include personal asset tracking, emergency location sharing and improved access control in secure environments. The prototype is developed in the form of an app to enable users to track the real-time whereabouts of their cards in a variety of scenarios. The results demonstrate the potential of smart cards with embedded GPS as a significant advancement in secure personal identification and financial transaction systems.
