This experiment seeks to reduce plastic waste by creating biodegradable plastic covers made from gelatin and  potato starch, providing students with a sustainable alternative. Potato starch and gelatin were used because they are biodegradable, harmless, and sustainable. The components were mixed and processed to produce a long-lasting, biodegradable cover using low-cost techniques, and the product was tested for strength, flexibility, and decomposition rates. The findings suggested that the biodegradable covers were both long-lasting and capable of decomposing safely in the natural environment. These developments provide a useful and environmentally friendly alternative to standard plastic, assisting efforts in promoting environmental sustainability
