MYALLERGEN is a standardized lyophilized shellfish allergen extract developed for use in skin prick testing (SPT) to diagnose IgE-mediated food allergies. It is formulated from locally sourced shellfish proteins and designed to meet National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) requirements as a diagnostic product. With over 9 million Malaysians at risk of undiagnosed food allergies, MYALLERGEN offers a safer, locally relevant alternative to imported extracts. This project, funded by the IMaP grant, involves collaboration with the Institute for Medical Research (IMR) and Biomed Global to enable clinical validation, product registration, and future commercialization for national healthcare use.
