This study investigates a hybrid eco-seawall design that integrates nature-based elements to mitigate wave overtopping. A retrofitted protrusion, shaped to induce premature wave breaking, is installed in front of the seawall using chengal wood with protective coating. The seawall face is enhanced with a grass layer and rock revetment to increase roughness and energy dissipation. The integrated system demonstrates potential in reducing overtopping volumes while promoting ecological compatibility in coastal defense.
