SujoodSense is an educational prototype designed to assist Muslim worshippers in tracking rakaah progression during salah with greater consistency and focus. Developed on the HCS12 Dragon Board – Educational Kit, the system integrates motion detection and embedded logic to monitor key prayer postures, particularly the sujood movement, as a reliable indicator for rakaah counting. This intelligent aid seeks to complement spiritual routines without distraction, enhancing mindfulness during worship through unobtrusive design. Created within an academic context, the prototype was developed as part of a mini project assessment under the ECE354 Microprocessor System course for EE111 and EE112 Diploma of Electrical Engineering at UiTM. It demonstrates the practical implementation of microcontroller-based sensing with a user-friendly interface. While still in its preliminary stage, SujoodSense reflects the potential for faith-inspired innovation in embedded systems, with future enhancements including portable and rechargeable features through the use of more affordable and compact embedded platforms.
